Hand Made Gifts
First nation Indigenous Australians
We have a long list of talented Indigenous artists. Come in and see their work yourself. The gallery is home to all types of art from Allan McKenzie, Cedric Varcoe, Charmaine Van Nunen, Glenda Hayes, Michelle Nungala, Priscilla Brown, and many more.
Find that perfect unique gift in our gallery. There’s exclusive jewellery, like the coral hayes pananka, hand-made printed linen made on Minjerribah, stylish porcelain with local artwork, and delicious Daintree chocolate. You’ll also find watches, sunglasses, clutches, bags, and homewares.
Take our popular carved wood Aboriginal bowls. Coolamons were traditionally (and are still) used by Aboriginal women to carry water, fruits, and nuts. They were also great for cradling babies. Coolamons were either positioned under the arm if used as a cradle or carried on the head when travelling distances. Just imagine having one of these bowls in your home. It adds a distinctive, cultural style to your space.
Art classes & cultural experiences
Give your child a fun, educational experience. Book a spot in one of our workshops. We run Indigenous art classes and painting sessions. You don’t need to bring a thing, and it’s a relaxing experience. All skill levels are encouraged. Why not do a session with your child? You’ll both learn a lot about Aboriginal art, symbolism, and culture – and walk out with their own art. These two-hour creative sessions only cost $60. Bookings are essential.
Book your workshop today on 0410 481 237. Our team would be happy to chat to you if you have any questions before your visit. Our gallery is less than half an hour from Norwood SA 5067.
