Learn To Dive
The Dive Shack, your one-stop dive shop. We’re a family owned South Australian business with a passion for our beautiful, mysterious waters. Our staff of 14 are friendly, experienced divers. If you love snorkelling, freediving, spear fishing, swimming, or you’re a triathlete, let’s enjoy the sea together. We run weekly charters and all types of diving courses including, open water, freediving, scuba diving, advanced, specialty and professional courses. How It Works
Want to learn how to dive? Our professional diving staff has taught hundreds of South Aussies how to dive. Try our scuba diving and open water courses, as well as specialist courses. Try scuba diving once and you’ll be hooked. Our PADI Discover scuba diving program gets you out in the water, under the watch of our dive professionals. You’ll love seeing South Australia from below sea level, as you master some basic concepts and scuba skills. There’s nothing quite like swimming underwater and feeling weightless. And then there’s our open water course, which exposes you to all of the different animals, plants and objects in our great waters. See them in our pristine reefs and world-famous wrecks and jetties. Once you’re ready to go pro, consider our advanced, specialty and pro courses.
Freediving Courses
Feel just how liberating it is to free dive. Jump into the unknown with our free diving course. Our course is structured for you to complete at your own pace, and we start you off with a small amount of online learning to get you into gear. We’ll introduce you to important concepts like equalisation. There are three levels that you’ll progress through as a free diver – from learning breathing techniques and muscle flexibility, through to diving down to 40 metres. Once you’ve completed your training, you’ll be an internationally certified free diver, so you can travel to some of the other beautiful diving sites around the world.

Dive charters
Hop aboard our Gemini rigid inflatable, named Nauti-Nomad, with a group of 10 divers to explore some of our best South Aussie diving sites. Our boat is decked out with a non-slip surface, erectable sun shades, lots of storage and a shark shield, so you can go dive just about anywhere in Adelaide, Yorke Peninsula and the south and west coast. Check our calendar for our weekly boat dives. If you’d like to go somewhere, in particular, let us know and we’ll arrange it for you. Prices range from $60 to $120. Get in touch with us today.
Dive Travel
Take advantage of our scuba diving holidays for all levels of scuba divers. We go all throughout our beautiful state, as well as dive spots around the world. We also have a dedicated area for equipment care and servicing. We’re divers ourselves so we understand the need for regular maintenance. The materials that make up dive equipment are exposed to oxidation and decay. Salt, dirt, and dust all affect how your equipment performs. Talk to us about servicing your BCDs, dive computers, fins, lights and cameras, masks, regulators, tanks, weights, and wetsuits.
